As a post 16 centre, we pride ourselves in teaching to destinations and we are delighted that our Year 13 students have some impressive destinations planned.
Their final school year may have been abruptly cut short but Covid-19 hasn't deterred these school leavers from pursuing their dreams.
We are extremely proud of our students who have once again achieved record breaking A-Level and vocational qualification results, with over half of them attaining top grades. Whilst we have worked through challenging times, these young people - with support of their families and academy staff - have remained steadfast on forging successful and positive futures.
We are delighted for all of our students, and it is wonderful to see their efforts rewarded.
Some of the highlights from this years A level results came from:
- Blake Wilson who achieved four A-Levels at grades A*, A, A and A who will be going on to study Business Management at Durham University.
- Ethan Sheppard achieved 3 grade A’s and will be studying History at Sheffield Hallam University.
- Hayley Heath-Holmes achieved A, A and a Distinction and will continue to study Art.
- Amy Maskrey achieved A, B, B and will study Criminology at the University of York.
- Adam Taylor achieved A, B and a Merit and will study Computer Science and Game Design at Sheffield Hallam.
- Jessica Curran also achieved A, B and a Merit and will study Fine Art with Psychology at the University of Worcester.
We wish all our students the very best and we are looking forward to working with our Post 16 students in September 2020.
